The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are announced on 21st April, on her Majesty’s birthday, to recognise excellence in British industry. Ezi-Dock Systems Ltd had been selected to receive the honour in the category of International Trade, specifically marking the company’s remarkable achievements in exports sales.

Ezi-Dock Systems was launched in 2003 to design, develop and deliver effective and easy-to-use high-end industrial packaging products that would address and solve the real-world problems encountered in the manufacturing industry.

“We never wanted to make “me too” products,” said MD Steve McAleavy, “but to simplify and improve the processes our customers undertake every day. Since the companies who process liquids and powders – especially valuable or potent ones – face the same containment, wastage, and contamination challenges the world over, we were always looking at a global market for our products and systems.”

The company’s success has been meteoric. In just 10 years Ezi-Dock has grown from a fledgeling start-up to a multi-million turnover international business which exports in excess of 80% of its products to most European countries, Japan, the USA, South and Central America, China and Korea.

“There is no magic key.” commented Sales Director Mike Brimson. “We have worked in these environments for many years and we know where the problems lie. Ezi-Dock has succeeded because we have been able to develop specific solutions for specific problems, and offer very worthwhile cost advantages. Our products and systems are designed to make Production Managers’ lives easier, to save time and money, and to reduce waste. People like using them, and we hope to continue to provide innovative ways to improve processes.”
